I want you to feel amazing through perimenopause and beyond.....

When our hormones are balanced and the body's systems are working together as they should, we feel our best. I use a functional medicine approach to investigate the root cause of your symptoms and help identify imbalances in the body. Functional medicine is a patient-centered approach to healthcare which looks at the bigger picture of the individual to help determine what is causing their symptoms, and develops a personalised plan for their individual needs.

How does it work?

Before our first session, you will be required to complete a health questionnaire and 3-day food diary and return these to me. This information enables me to conduct initial research and means you get better value out of the time we spend together.

At the initial consultation we will discuss your symptoms and set your health goals. We will go through your completed health questionnaire, explore your medical history, symptoms, diet, lifestyle factors such as stress and sleep, and assess the functioning of your body systems, such as the digestive system. Functional tests may be recommended to further investigate your symptoms, better understand your nutrition needs and inform recommendations, however there is no obligation to do these. Tests may be available through your GP and others can be carried out using private laboratories at an additional cost.

Our follow-up consultations are an opportunity for us to monitor your progress, track your symptoms, review any functional test results and supplement plans. We can discuss any difficulties you are experiencing, explore new areas, make amendments or add new recommendations to the programme.

You will be provided with a personalised, evidence-informed Action Plan after each session, tailored to your individual requirements and preferences. It will contain simple diet and lifestyle recommendations and nutritional supplements (if required), to provide the body with the tools it needs to restore balance and get you back on track and feeling great. We will work together to agree a programme that feels achievable for you. I won't overwhelm you with information at the outset, we'll discuss new areas which might be contributing to your symptoms at each session and agree small, manageable steps for change. I understand that change is difficult which is why I’ll be here to support you every step of the way.
