Can A Poor Diet Lead To Anxiety And Depression?
Mental health can be greatly influenced by the food we eat. A poor diet has been linked to an increased risk of anxiety and depression, according to research. While we frequently hear about the physical consequences of poor eating habits, the mental consequences are frequently overlooked.
A poor diet consists of foods that are high in processed and refined foods, sugar, and saturated fats, and low in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. These foods are commonly referred to as "junk food" or "fast food," and they are typically high in calories but low in nutrients.
Unfortunately, there is a severe lack of education on just how important a good diet is, not just for the physical benefits it provides to the body but also to your mental health as well. However, knowing what to buy and eat to have a good overall diet can feel like a daunting task and that is where I can help you. As a registered Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I am able to work with you to create a nutritional programme that will change your life. Whilst you may feel you have tried a range of diets or things to help combat anxiety and depression, I urge you to consider having a proper look at nutrition and how poor eating habits can really be having a negative effect on your life.
